San Cristobal de las Casas
A very different vibe to Oaxaca. The locals have their own unique look and style. This highland region of Chiapas has a higher proportion of indigenous Mexicans. So a completely different feel and look. With the tourists, the Instagram influencers were replaced by backpackers. A smell of weed in the air as they chase country walks, temples and from what I could see a nice hit of psilocybin.
I messed up on arrival, instead of taking sickness tablets to help with the illness, I dropped two sleeping pills. Whoops.... Alas a sleep in the cathedral park brought me back to life.
