A total of 12 special ponds have been constructed to house various sizes of Copper Crocodiles, with a total of 592 Copper Crocodiles to be kept and showcased for visitors in this area.

Twelve special ponds have been built to house a total of 592 Copper Crocodiles, which have been granted special maintenance permits by PERHILITAN. The Copper Crocodiles to be maintained consist of various sizes and age groups. At present, 144 crocodiles have been acquired and placed in 6 crocodile ponds in the Pasir Gudang Crocodile Sanctuary. They range in size from 1'6" inches to 10 feet and in age from 1.5 years to 15 years.

Copper Crocodiles are fully protected animals under the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (PERHILITAN) Act 1972 Act 76 (PERHILITAN does not issue maintenance and business licenses except with the approval and permission of the Minister of Science, Technology & Environment through a SPECIAL PERMIT). Those who possess, keep, and maintain these animals without this SPECIAL PERMIT are in violation of the law and may be fined and imprisoned.
