The objective of this project was to create a website using SquareSpace based on a color poem of two complementary colors.
My website and color poem feature the complementary colors of serene blue and BLASTING ORANGE. Serene blue is calm and serene, and blasting orange is aggressive and powerful. The color poem is intended as a space to enjoy, interact, and experience colors on screen, but as also place to inform on complementary colors and accessible design that considers color.

Using creative principles and knowledge from previous art classes such as 2D Design,
3D Design, and other graphic design classes, I was able to craft this color poem website.
I used the fundamentals along with ideas of typography, layout, and cohesiveness to make the website look aesthetic, functional, and user-friendly. With my writing skills, I
was able to creative captivating and interesting headlines and body copies. I
thoughtfully researched and chose dynamic images to complement the
content and make the website flow.

I used my knowledge of color theory and design to make sure that this website flows well and is aesthetically pleasing. The color choices make the site easy to read and dictate the overall moods of each color and page. With serene blue, the color and design choices are calm and round to show the mood of being relaxed and serene.
With blasting orange, it is aggressive and sharp to showcase the color
being fierce and powerful.

Making this website allowed me to see and use one of the tools that can be used in a professional environment. It allowed me to think and balance both aesthetics and user experience, which will translate well in a professional setting.
