My husband Matt and I have been working on transforming the 2nd floor of our South Philly row-home into a viable studio space for about five years now. After much home renovation and studio adjustments, we are on our way. The first big production project is "The Pond of Stars."  It is Matt's neat-o-new project, creating gender-neutral, affordable, original designs of animals doing fun stuff. We design for all ages and shirts and onesies are now available on Kickstarter. He is using Kickstarter to open the shop because of it's network and the exposure. There's no urgency to raise the money – but by all means order away if you're interested. It is our barometer to see if it is a project worth pursuing. We send many thanks for re-posting anywhere you think peeps might be interested! There are great thank you perks for backers; shirts, family and pet portraits and a local backer dinner party, featuring Matt's home-brew and foodie treats catered by me!

This Summer marked the 5th Anniversary of Tiger Strikes Asteroid, a collective gallery located at 319 N. 11th Street in Philadelphia where I am a member and the press coordinator. Our July exhibition, TO TIGER, WITH LOVE was a group exhibit of past and present members from our Philadelphia and NY locations, organized by me and Jaime Alvarez. The show was lovingly arranged by Tiger member Todd Baldwin, who is also a preparator at The Princeton Museum. We had a wonderful turnout and Chip Schwartz of the Knight Arts Blog wrote a lovely piece, mentioning the work I exhibited. The project can be viewed here: https://www.behance.net/gallery/18785993/TO-TIGER-WITH-LOVE

Our gallery members will also be participating in the upcoming (e)merge art fair in Washington DC, October 2 – 5, 2014. Stop by if you are in the area!!! http://www.emergeartfair.com/

Next up, I am preparing for October!
We will be opening our home-studio to the public, for "POST," the Philadelphia Open Studio Tours on October 25th & 26th, 2014. All info about the event can be found here:http://philaopenstudios.org/artist-profile/terri-saulin-frock

We hope you can visit and see what we are up to during this festive event! We will have snacks and refreshments!!!

My last bit of news is job related. For over a decade, I have been teaching at Society Hill Synagogue and Moore College of Art and Design in the BFA and Youth Programming concurrently. I LOVED both of those jobs and treasure the amazing people I met and forged strong friendships with. Suddenly, I was faced with a life changing opportunity and I am over the moon to announce that I have accepted a full time position as an Upper and Middle School Art Teacher at The Agnes Irwin School. I am very much looking forward to this exciting new adventure.

Thank you for your time and interest in our projects and we hope to see you at POST in October.
Warmly,
Terri and Matt
