According to the briefing which had as main reference the air traffic world - consisted mostly by helicopters and airplanes - the visual identity developed by Estúdio Quadrilátero aimed to translate in a playful and modern way the meanings of those machines to children. During the process were used elements, shapes and colors of strong presence in the infant scenario.
To sophisticate and modernize the design, the studio dared to chose the shades of primary colors, such as blue and red. Blue comes from the sky of every fairytale, that´s why its shade is slightly lighter. Red is brought to the project with a percentage of black with the purpose of highlighting the pieces and also to contrast with the blue.
Furthermore, the typographical work performed on the pieces was a step of great importance. The alignment and harmony created between the fonts “slap serif”, “sans serif” and “cursives”, added dynamism and at the same time refinement to the design.
The visual identity of the event consisted in the development of the logo, the stencil pattern, the ‘save the date’, the invitation, the menu, the tags, the bottons, t-shirt, website and souvenirs for parents, children and families.
The theme was well explored in every component, phrase and object designed for this event. For example, regarding aircraft’s fuel, a bottle of wine with a tag saying ‘Caution, flammable liquid’ was attached to the parents souvenirs. As for children, the studio suggested Lego tiles, because it doesn´t only have primary colors, but also estimulate the development of the logical thinking, and attached the tag ‘Travel in your imagination and give wings to your creativity”.
