If I could change my career path without having to start over, it would be as a photographic documentarian. I don't, however, wish to start over by photographing high school football games and local news so I create these projects to squelch my career desire.
Like many people, I wanted to volunteer after hurricane Katrina and did so in the capacity of animal search and rescue. I spent about 3 weeks cleaning cages, walking mutts and opening up people's homes who called in to various animal organizations requesting us to to find out what happened to their animals and to retrieve them if they were still alive.
These are some of the images I took during this time.
