ROTO NODE
What is roto node
The Roto node is an optimal choice if you're doing rotoscoping only - it allows you to create and edit Bezier and B-spline shapes. The toolbar on the left side of the Viewer includes point selection and manipulation, and shape creation tools.
Key points to understand about ROTO
What are the different types of Roto?
There are two primary forms of roto: visual effects (VFX), rotoscoping and digital fine art.
How do you use Roto node in Nuke
The first step is to create a Roto node and then draw and animate a Bezier spline in it. Make sure the label points checkbox in the Viewer is selected so you can see the CVs point numbers - this helps identify the one we want to create a Tracker for.
STEPS INVOLVED IN SKY REPLACEMENT PROJECT
A node graph in the context of software architecture refers to an organization of software functionality into atomic units known as nodes, and where nodes can be connected to each other via links.
you see an example of a very simple Nuke script. Two Read nodes reference image sequences on disk. Effect nodes extract a keyer and roto an image. A merge node composites the foreground image over the background. Finally, a Write node renders and outputs the completed composite to disk. which displays the output of any node in the script
FINAL OUTPUTS
what I need to do, is perform a pre-multiple. Well, the roto node has that built in. So I can just go to pre-multiply, and set it for RGB. Now I have a four-channel pre-multiplied image, that's ready to composite. As we've seen, the roto node can solve a great many types of masking problems, but it's difficult to remember all of the possible colinations and permeatations.
