With the generous support of the FG Organization, Cillgold is delighted to announce the official launch of the Tet Lunar New Year gift box design and manufacturing project. The primary goal of this initiative is to unearth a creative, innovative, and captivating concept that businesses can embrace to gift their customers and partners during the Tet Giap Thin celebration. The first customer for this project is also FG Organization and Cillgold.

Every effort invested in the execution of this project reflects our sincere gratitude to FG, as well as to our valued customers, friends, and partners at Cillgold.

** Introduction to FG Organization

FG Organization is a diversified conglomerate headquartered in the United States, engaging in various sectors including healthcare, food and beverage, household products, social media, marketing and communications, real estate, and investments.

Established by Vietnamese individuals in the United States, the FG conglomerate is dedicated to improving the quality of life for over three million Vietnamese Americans by providing practical and heartfelt products and services. From this foundation, FG aspires to connect the global Vietnamese community, promote shared prosperity, and spread positive values.

KEY CONCEPT:

“CÁ CHÉP VƯỢT VŨ LONG MÔN”

(THE CARP OVERCOMES THE DRAGON GATE)

** As a popular allegorical tale, deeply ingrained in the consciousness of many generations in Eastern countries, this story tells of the journey of a brave carp accepting the challenge - overcoming the mightiest waterfall to transform into a dragon, symbolizing a profound transformation within itself.

The true meaning of the story is to signify the journey of overcoming difficulties and challenges in life, to achieve success and prosperity. The image of the "Carp" represents perseverance, courage, and resilience in overcoming all obstacles. "Becoming a Dragon" symbolizes positive transformation, triumphing over challenges, reaping success, and achieving great purposes.

The choice of this particular concept by Cillgold is driven by two significant reasons:

1. In 2020, the global economy faced profound challenges with the onset of the Covid pandemic. Even after four years, the Vietnamese market grapples with economic uncertainties, and businesses persist in overcoming adversities. Symbolized by the resilient carp navigating turbulent waters, this gift carries profound significance, offering encouragement and well-wishes for the present era.

2. In 2024, Vietnam and other East Asian nations will usher in the Year of the Dragon in the lunar calendar. The concept of "Ca Chep Hoa Rong" (Carp Turning Into Dragon) allows the gift to embody a mythological creature, aptly suited for the occasion, portrayed with finesse and symbolism.

"LIVE LONG AND PROSPER"

The heartfelt wish "Live Long and Prosper" graces the box lid, accentuating the desire for the recipient's prosperity and success. Complemented by a dual-opening lid structure, it adds depth to the wish, creating an atmosphere of openness and sincerity, akin to a friend extending warm and welcoming arms.

The design is perfectly tailored for gifting customers, friends, and partners during the Tet Lunar New Year.

** The origin of the phrase "LIVE LONG AND PROSPER" is inspired by one of the most famous lines from the Star Trek series (learn more here).

** The structural concept is referenced from Ido Agassi (@agassido).

ABOUT THE RED PACKET

“EMBRACING NEW CHALLENGES” & “CONQUER THE FALLS”

Adorning the exterior of the red packet are two phrases hinting at "embracing new challenges" and "conquering the falls." Accompanying these phrases is an energetic image of a carp navigating a waterfall, symbolizing resilience and untapped potential, with intricate patterns and scales visible through the pierced surface.

“THE CARP TURNING INTO DRAGON”

Within the red packet is the message "Ca Chep Hoa Rong" (Carp Turning Into Dragon) accompanied by an image of a powerful, majestic dragon. It signifies the carp's triumphant journey, successfully overcoming all challenges.

Collectively, these elements form a design that conveys a clear, surprising, and interesting message, making it a meaningful wish suitable for the Lunar New Year festivities in Vietnam.

“PHÚC - LỘC - THỌ” (Happiness - Windfall - Longevity)

Presented on the scroll are among the most traditional Tet wishes in Vietnamese culture, ideal for adorning walls or branches. With the words “PHÚC - LỘC - THỌ,” this scroll letter serves as a comprehensive and traditional conclusion to this year's Tet gift set.
