The Park

Bensaude Park is located right in Benfica, center of Lisbon. In this Project we got to tackle the problem of transforming this ghost park into an unique experience of Park in Portugal. For this we got inspired with the great parks around the world plus some important social changes that have been happening in the fields of: culture, food and health.
This project was developed by professionals in the fields of Product Design, Service Design and Graphic Design.

Today's Bensaude Park

In 2013 I had the chance to visit the Park for curiosity. Despite our project had been presented at one of the biggest portuguese corporations, to some influent names of the Borough of Lisbon, and to most of the design tutors of our university, it was no more than a really cool idea. However Bensaude Park has been changing through some similar ideas to the ones we proposed. Below we can see the main road entrance which didn't exist before with good access for bikes/wheelchairs and some garden allotments.
We were extremely happy to get the chance of inspiring some neighbours of the area to get active and contribute to the Bensaude Park changing.
