“As engineers continued to use machine learning algorithms in their design process, they noticed their products trend towards more organic shapes - contrasting greatly from their rigid-body predecessors. These ML algorithms, when left to train for copious amounts of time, output design schemes that eerily mimicked evolution. With the help of material advancements and procedural upgrades, machines were no longer rigid and built with straight lines - but instead with complex curves and organic bone-like structures.”

Amongst engineering communities, a term was coined for these new-age machines:

“Machina”

Designed in C4D and Houdini, rendered in Redshift, and post-processed in After Effects and Photoshop.
