The International Origami Society

The hypothetical International Origami Society wanted a creative brochure promoting the value of origami and membership in their organization. In order to demonstrate the joys of recreational paper folding, the brochure itself also has to function as a piece of origami: the brochure must provide information about origami as well as include a second layer of folding instructions that, when followed, would realize the brochure as a physical paper object as well. This brochure is designed to become a colorful box.

These are the two sides of the brochure, measuring 10" x 15"

After following the brochure's instructions to cut it into six squares, additional instructions
on each square guide readers step by step on how to fold the squares.

Readers are instructed to assemble the six pieces they folded based on a matching system of symbols.

Upon completion, the brochure is designed so that the fictional organization's website
will still be displayed on the finished box.
