Project Summary
Create a detailed map featuring the CBD and Suburbs. CBD shows all buildings within the central business district, highlighting shape, type, address and nearby features. Suburban map highlights major complexes such as malls and airports as well as town lines.
Management
Coordinate the research of buildings by utilizing summer interns to compare Google maps, city data and physically walk through the city. Determine mix of colors with designers and goals of map with sales team. Arrange for transfer of information from research to designers and review and edit process. Also coordinate with print vendors for quotes and most efficient layout size, file type and data transfer.
Design
The design of this file is always evolving and is revised every two years. Due to detail of the map there have been multiple revisions to help reduce file size and avoid corruption. Focus of the design is to relay information in an easy to understand format. Choice of colors is extremely important for this case.
