Illustration about Creative Leadership

A part of the 28 Day Editorial Challenge hosted by Inkygoodness Collective, is to follow a brief about Creative Leadership, as it was to be published by Creative Review.

The Brief:

Theme & Concept

For your illustration we want you to think of all aspects of creative leadership, and how you might visualize it. This is a slightly more open brief than you might receive for a columnist or an article. In those cases you will often find yourself trying to encapsulate an argument or point of view, in such a way that you compliment the article, or even, in successful cases, render the argument visually without recourse to the text.

In this case by contrast, you are required to present the ‘big picture’. You are not summarizing an argument or an angle, but rather trying to encapsulate the theme as a whole.

Personal approach:

After reading several articles about creative leadership published by Creative Review - there was one sentence that really stuck to me;

It's convention that most often stands in the way between good and great

I made a lot of sketches trying to visualize creative leaders and how they may inspire/lead the way to achieve great results. How to include different viewpoints and make the most out of it - see things from different perspectives and incorporate this in a final result.

Finally I decided for two options;

1). A team leader that inspires the employee by giving him/her wings.
2). A cup of tea with different flavors as a representation of a reunion with different viewpoints; when mixed together magic happens (as a final result).

Option 1. Creative leadership inspires
Option 2. Mixing different viewpoints gives magical results
