region, recognized as an Important Bird Area, plays a pivotal role in international bird migration paths. However, the expansion of fish ponds has significantly impaired the local ecosystem, threatening the crucial mangrove habitats.

The project is dedicated to fostering community resilience and empowerment through the development of ecotourism, centered around mangrove conservation. It aims to reinforce coastal protection while enhancing ecological connectivity. This is achieved by integrating mangrove rehabilitation with sustainable fish pond practices. The project envisions a harmonious coexistence of human activities and natural habitats, ensuring the longterm sustainability of both the local community and the vital mangrove ecosystems in Gresik.
