This project started in 2020 from the shock of how quickly the landscape can be changed. The ‘Beautiful Ugliness’ continued throughout my education and played a key part in gaining my BA in Photography and Communication Design (photography) degrees.
Over the years I have taken 1000s of photos however there was only so many I could fit into the 3 books that I have produced. Here are some more of those images, many unseen and a few that have been published in print already, they are in no particular order however are all from between December 2020 - May 2023
Applying Bresson's' quote to my landscape images, I have learned to understand the world around me and how this can affect my everyday life. The world is how we make it, when I see the beauty, I see it reflected in the world.
Around us, landscapes are ever-changing, what may be here now, may not be here in 20 years. I want my work to reflect this, for future generations to see what was once standing and where they may stand in the future.
