DJ Assault AUS/NZ Tour
I recently designed for DJ Assault’s Australian tour. DJ Assault is a world renowned DJ and producer known for pioneering Detroit house and electro, blending elements of electro, hiphop and techno. When working for DJ assault it was important to emphasise his esteemed and well-established position, to do so I relied on traditional design aesthetics historically used for events of this nature. This approach can be seen in the colour scheme of green on black, boombox imagery and graffiti influenced typography. The lettering for the event name ‘Ostreidae’ doubles as a logo for the event’s management, this is an example of my own hand lettering, an approach that I take for all my custom typography.
