For this school project, we were tasked with creating an A5 folder focusing on a specific subject, with a set word count and the inclusion of copyright-free pictures. I opted for music as my subject for this project, which was part of my graphic design class in the first semester of my second year as a media design student. I chose music due to my passion for it and its inherently complex nature.
I worked extensively with typography as imagery, aiming for a design that appears fluid and chaotic yet remains presentable. My goal was to symbolize the dynamic flow and feeling of music through the typography. Additionally, sourcing non-copyrighted images on the internet proved challenging. Utilizing typography as imagery served as a solution to overcome this issue.
For the color palette, I opted for black and white. This choice was motivated by a desire for a professional aesthetic and versatility to suit various environments. Since the project didn't have a specific color code or rules, I chose something that aligned with my personal style.
