East Blue x Red Line is the second collection from the Monga Design studio, with four t-shirts and a double-sided bag. The studio believes that clothing can and should convey a message, communicate something and resonate with the wearer and the observer. As two Libras, the partners are obsessed with the concept of duality, and this was also explored in this collection: water and fire, tranquility and agitation, luck and effort, the East Blue and the Red Line.
East Blue is the calmest of the seas, but it is also the birthplace of great pirates of the new generation. This t-shirt bears the Tsuru 折鶴, which in Japanese culture represents luck, longevity and fortune, and the Kanji "Hope". The second blue t-shirt has the word Itterashai, which is a wish of "Good luck" to those setting out on a journey.
The Red Line is the biggest challenge faced by pirates in pursuit of their objectives, which is why this t-shirt features the Dragon 龍, which according to an ancient Chinese legend was a carp that swam against the current until ascending to the sky and becoming a great Dragon. The last t-shirt is printed with the Kanji "Will", formed by the Kanjis "Sound" and "Heart", along with the word Ganbatte, which means "Give your best".
The double-sided bag is yet another way to reinforce this duality.
