"Consegui sonhar essa noite" é uma zine feita durante as aulas do Ateliê de Publicação Impressa, ministradas por Lina Ibáñez e Florencia Lastreto, na Oficina Cultural Oswald de Andrade. A partir de trocas e conversas ao longo do curso quis elaborar um projeto pequeno, em um formato que utiliza apenas uma folha A3 dobrada em seis páginas, e que desdobrada se torna um pôster.
A ideia da história veio de rascunhos soltos de personagens do meu caderno que foram reunidas para formar uma história um pouco mais coesa, junto com a vontade de utilizar a combinação de impressões artesanais e manipulação digital, além da própria materialidade da zine, para abordar uma temática onírica e espontânea. Em resumo: é a história de uma viajante contando um sonho da noite passada para o seu cavalo.
"Consegui sonhar essa noite" [I got to dream last night] is a zine made during classes at the Ateliê de Publicação Impressa, taught by Lina Ibáñez and Florencia Lastreto, at Oficina Cultural Oswald de Andrade. After exchanges and conversations throughout the course, I wanted to develop a small project, in a format that uses just one A3 sheet of paper folded into six pages, which when unfolded becomes a poster.
The idea for the story came from loose sketches of characters in my notebook that were put together to form a slightly more cohesive story, along with the desire to use the combination of handmade prints and digital manipulation, in addition to the materiality of the zine itself, to address a dreamlike and spontaneous theme. In short: it's the story of a traveler telling her last night's dream to her horse.
O processo do projeto passou primeiro pela estruturação das ilustrações e como elas se relacionariam com a posição em que se encontram dentro da zine. Por exemplo, queria que houvesse uma simetria na história, que começa e termina com o foco no rosto da personagem contando seu sonho na primeira e última página. A capa e contracapa, impressas em preto e branco, contrastam com o interior em azul, que é onde a narração acontece. E o pôster seria o lugar onde todos esses signos se misturam. Depois que as imagens estavam definidas veio o texto, que não foi muito pensado.
The creation process first went through structuring the illustrations and how they would relate to their position within the zine. For example, I wanted there to be a symmetry in the story, which begins and ends with the focus on the character's face telling her dream on the first and last pages. The cover and back cover, printed in black and white, contrast with the blue interior, which is where the narration takes place. And the poster would be the place where all these symbols mix. After the images were defined, I wrote the text, which wasn't much thought out.

Todas as páginas têm texturas que vieram de experimentações com desenho em monotipia, feitos no ateliê, de quando ainda estava tentando entender o que seria essa zine.

Durante todo o processo também ouvi uma playlist com algumas músicas que acho que ambientam bem o universo que tentei criar. Isso me ajudou a ficar mais imersa no trabalho, e foi legal de fazer essa seleção :-)
During the process I also made a playlist with some songs that I think fit well into the universe I tried to create. This helped me be more immersed in my work, and it was cool to make this selection :-)
