Turning Sun Preschool’s Tiny Library
When creating designs for Turning Sun School’s tiny library, I had to keep in mind that this is a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool. The concept I designed aimed to combine these aspects of Reggio Emilia - the image of the child as an independent being, the love and respect for art as a language, and the wonder and importance of nature. I am honored to know the staff and children very closely so I was able to collaborate with them all to see what imagery came to mind when thinking of TSS.
Faculty, staff, students, and families voted on these three designs for the school’s tiny library. It was a tough race, but in the end the children outweighed the adults, and the middle design won out!
