《在我消失之前》是作者 yp 書寫自己與「精神疾病」此標籤相伴 12 年的人生故事。
最後一次想消失之際，作者找到了自我療癒的方式。將消失原本從社會既有的逃避、懦弱形象，轉換成力量，有了喜歡自己模樣的雛形，也不必再追求他人的眼光。期待讀者在書中發現光芒，從這個計畫中找到自己的力量，並且傳遞到其他人落入黑暗的角落，找到自己的心之所向。（文字節錄集資平台專案頁面）

Project Overview

"Before I Disappear" shares yp's 12-year journey with "mental illness." In the face of a desire to vanish, the author discovered a path to self-healing, transforming the act of disappearing from societal escape to personal strength. The narrative encourages readers to find their own radiance, embrace their strength, and share it with others in need, illuminating the path to self-discovery.

｜設計理念｜
從作者喜愛的歌曲《白鯨》當中的歌詞——「我忘了呼吸，來不及呼吸」作為發想起點。
將大海比喻為紛擾繁雜的世界，將自身化為一頭鯨。
作者找到自癒的過程，就像鯨魚從深海中緩緩游向光，最後浮出水面呼吸換氣。
在最終理解要關注自身，好好照顧自己。
主視覺使用鯨魚現身、向上游動、浮出水面三個動作，代表書中「在我消失之前」、「在我消失之中」、「在我消失之後」三大章節。
黃、橘、藍的漸層色，搭配緩和的海面波紋，使整體呈現溫暖、平靜的感覺。
標準字—將書名文字部分部首模糊、底部加陰影，表現出「消失」的感覺。

Design Philosophy

The text draws inspiration from the lyrics of the author's favorite song, "White Whale," where "I forgot to breathe, too late to breathe" serves as the starting point.

Metaphorically, the sea represents a tumultuous world, with the author transforming into a whale. The author's journey mirrors a process of self-healing, akin to a whale swimming towards light from the ocean depths, surfacing to breathe and refresh.

Ultimately, the narrative focuses on self-care, with the main visual depicting three whale actions: emerging, swimming upward, and surfacing—representing the book's major chapters: "Before my disappearance," "During my disappearance," and "After my disappearance."

Gradient colors in yellow, orange, and blue, along with gentle sea ripples, create a warm and tranquil atmosphere. Standard characters are used, with the title text partly blurred and shadows added at the bottom, conveying a sense of "disappearance."
