Illustration of Communications Officer Nyota Uhura for the USS Enterprise.
Portrait of Communications Officer Nyota Uhura (played by actress Nichelle Nichols) for the original TV series, Star Trek. Who knows where the USS Enterprise (and franchise) would be without Uhura’s intelligence, fierce wit and sassy one-liners.
One of the first portrait illustrations where I really took into account the background as a means of storytelling (versus keeping the bacground one solid colour). Something I felt my earlier portraits lacked.
