About Pop&Roll:

Pop & Roll is a family of creative artists founded in late 2010. The group brings together some of the best professional dancers and artists in Bulgaria with long experience and expertise in the field of street culture. Since the groups’ establishment, the Pop&Roll members are some of the most wanted guest artists in almost all major festivals, concerts, dance classes and schools in Bulgaria. Members of the group have bunch of awards at major dance competitions at home and abroad and are often invited to judge them. The group's aim is to create quality projects presenting the positive side of the street culture, as an alternative, clean and inspirational lifestyle, overcoming all economic, social, political and religious barriers.

In its three-year history Pop&Roll has participated in lots of shows, competitions, and events, and many times our members are invited to judge dance competitions and give workshops, as leaders in the Bulgarian and even

Balkan scene. Our biggest projects however are the two dance theater performances: “7D” and “8”.

“8” is the latest performance of Pop&Roll elevating street dance and music to atotally new level – on stage and in theaters! “8” is an educating story about the love, the artform, the self expression and the society. It presents an unique collaboration between fantastic dancers, dj’s, singers, musicians, and a beatboxer (15 artists) all mixed together in a highly inspirational performance. It feels like a “clean positive energy bomb” commented many of the viewers after witnessing “8”.

The theater show has been performed twice in packed and sold out halls: in the Modern Theater in Sofia (400 viewers) and in Rhodopian Dramatic Theater in Smolyan (600 viewers).
