GÜNGÖREN
Somewhere halfway up Mount Ararat (Ağrı Daği - Turkey) lies the small settlement of Güngören.
Three brothers with their families live there. From our point of view, this life was difficult, uncomfortable.
Summers hot and dry, winters cold and snowy.
You can say that it's the end of the world because it is not far from the peak of Ararat and Noah's Ark.
But that's not true.
Children laughing, women smiling and resolute. Men hospitable and curious about the world.
For me, this is one of the most important places on my photographic map of the world.
I promised to send them photos, prints. Unfortunately, the notes from this trip were lost.
I feel guilty about this. Maybe such a version of the photos will reach them?
