Embracing imperfection With self-confidence

INSPIRATION
my inspiration is body positivity. I link body positivity and kintsugi which is a Japanese philosophy that finds beauty in imperfections and repairs. It means accepting flaws and acknowledging that they are a part of the whole. In the context of body positivity, Kintsugi offers a similar perspective. Rather than focusing on societal ideals of a "perfect" body, it encourages us to accept and celebrate our bodies as they are, including scars, stretch marks, and other so-called imperfections. This philosophy teaches that just as in Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold, our bodies can also be seen as unique and beautiful, with our experiences and "imperfections" adding to our individuality and strength.

Objectives
To understand different theories of Body positivity and its relation with Fashion and Kintsugi.
Planning and execution of Plus-size fashion collection through weaving reflecting Kintsugi.

MOOD BOARD
The visual elements I used in my mood board convey confidence, and the chosen color reflects stability. Which evokes positive emotions, motivation, and a sense of encouragement. It can inspire others to accept their imperfection, foster self-confidence, and embark on their journey of self-discovery. This mood creates a supportive and uplifting atmosphere, motivating people to embrace their flows and find confidence in their authenticity.
