Word War One - Battle of Wits

Word War One is the product of my love for game theory and linguistics. It's a strategic card game that challenges players to think about language in a fun, competitive setting.
The objective is to outwit the other player cards by building words and strategising -even recurring to bluff- in a quest for crafting powerful words. Special cards add an exciting twist, making each round unpredictable and engaging.
You can find more about the game on BoardGameGeek (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/405678/word-war-one), where the community shares thoughts and strategies.

To see the game teaser, check out the overview on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PhT3UENxoI). "Word War One" is more than just a game; it's a celebration of language and strategy, bringing complex ideas into the playful world of gaming
The game is meticulously crafted with extra finesse in its card design and character distribution. The game consists of 150 cards, each adorned with a letter, ensuring a balanced and representative selection based on the frequency of letters in the English language. This thoughtful approach to card distribution mirrors the actual usage of letters, allowing for a diverse range of word possibilities and strategic depth. The frequency of vowels and consonants is carefully calibrated, drawing inspiration from linguistic studies, to ensure that each hand dealt offers both challenge and opportunity for word creation. This attention to linguistic detail not only enriches the gameplay but also pays homage to the beauty and complexity of the English language.
The deck cards are made with sturdy matte paper, chosen for its good feel and lasting quality. We've put these cards through tough tests to make sure they hold up to lots of shuffling and playing. So, whether you're a casual player or a frequent gamer, you can trust that these cards are made to last, game after game.
