Cape Rock was commissioned by Kinepolis (an international cinema theaters chain based in Belgium) to create three different pre-show experiences for men, women and children. At the same time, I was asked by Cape Rock to build up the three movies preceding the pre-show. It was a singular project because of the size of the final screen, where everything moves faster and the wide viewing angle, together with the surrounding audio, makes you feel inside the movie.
This is the Kids movie. Kids like to play, so we created a movie about playing and having fun. We needed something to play with, thats why we developed a variety of playful objects based on geometrical shapes that jump, bounce and run in a low poly playground. These witty things are moving around in the most chaotic way finding their path towards a door that makes the Kinepolis star change its look.
