I was a big fan of the film Turning Red (2022) and its embracing of tween-girl aesthetics, so I made a zine of fan art in the style of the protagonist’s notebook where she does her math homework and draws pictures of her crush.
I loved wanted the zine to feel tactile, like there were objects from the film just sitting on top of the page, so I used Photoshop to render 3D versions of Mei's Tamagotchi, the 'Jokia' phone, and turned one of my CDs into the 4*Town bootleg from the start of the film.
