Why Jeffrey Dahmer?
My Initial thoughts for this project began along the lines of Greek Mythological creatures as well as plot lines from the animation How to Train your Dragon. Upon doing some prints and under the advice of my lecturers I decided to scrap the idea as it did not have enough meat to it, and I could not think of a way to bring something new that was not already done before.
After much deliberation and thought, I started looking at my interests in my current phase of life. I drew to Netflix as a form of procrastination but was soon hit with my long awaited epiphany. The Monster: Jeffrey Dahmer series was growing increasingly popular on Netflix and I have always loved serial Killer documentaries, and so it felt like an obvious fit.
I decided on my new narrative concept then and there and divulged myself into Dahmer world through countless hours of online research. My Narrative story aims at providing a clear, unbiased view on Dahmer, stating nothing but facts as well as visual interpretations of Jeffrey and his life. The Narrative aims to serve as educational purposes without having to go into too much gory details of one of the worlds most notorious and vile serial killers.
