The home’s proportions do not boast: there is a dilemma between monumentality and modesty within the designed volume. Tall openings with fully glazed pivot panels open the living area to the distant garden.
Each room is sun-filled as every corner hosts its own spaces of theatricality in the daily rituals and uses of the homeowner. A weekend residence must be designed as a space for indulgence, not through extravagance and abundance, but through the liberation of one’s soul.
The residence is contemporary and ever-evolving; it is through its eclectic language of between vernacular and modern, Asian and European, subdued and theatrical, that creates a volume of timelessness.
