Izak Alterman/ 'Reflections on Freedom' illustrations

A series of 3 illustrations by of the life of Izek Alterman, a Polish Jew and Holocaust survivor who was 14-15 years old when he was taken from his home to a number of concentration camps, survived a death march, was liberated in 1945 and came to Manchester. Made for a collaborative exhibition 'Reflections on Freedom' at the Manchester Jewish Museum on the 26th January set to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day and honour the Manchester Jewish community.
