New Year Nurturing - Lucky Red Envelope 2024
Once a year, the Lunar New Year is about to come to my hometown. To make the Tet atmosphere more lively and joyful, I have been doing a project of creating a collection of lucky red envelopes to send good things to everyone in the new year 2024.
The idea derives from the culture of cleaning and decorating house as well as gardening to prepare for upcoming Tet holidays with full of luck. This envelope collection “New Year Nurturing” is created with the nature spirit connected with a garden full of sunshine, blooming flowers and a clay pots ready for nature to blossom. Moreover, this beautiful garden is also a chance for me to send you a wish for your readiness and hopefulness for the new year full of flowers ahead - nurturing and blossoming.

Spring Garden
With that idea, the garden inspired by “nurturing and blossoming” gradually appears. Envelopes are depicted with a clay pot lying alone on a colorful mat. The coin created with a bronze circle arranged randomly around the garden symbolizes for the South-East Asian culture, with an aim to emphasizing the outstanding of envelopes. Together with the traditional belief, putting coins in a pot, or hanging them in front of the house would bring a lot of luck and fortune for the owner.
Based on that spirit, these red envelopes were named respectively as follow:
"Ươm Mầm - Đâm Chồi - Nảy Lộc - Kết Trái"
(“Nurturing - Sprouting - Blossoming - Harvesting”)
Greetings
Addition to envelopes, greetings in new year are also a beauty of culture. Instead of using the familiar greetings related to career and wealth, I have made the creative greetings with inspiration from nature. With the addition of emotion and enthusiasm of the gardener, the greetings are sent to those who are hard-working throughout the last year. It brings hopefulness for a bright future harvesting successes and achieving targets in an upcoming year. Along with many "sweet fruits" hopefull.
To make the "Năm Mới" (New Year) fresher, I want to send my wish to you:
"Năm Mới - Ươm Lá Đươm Cành” (New Year - Nurturing)
"Năm Mới - Bén Rễ Trồng Xuân" (New Year - Glowing)
"Năm Mới - Thu Hạt Kết Trái" (New Year - Harvesting)
"Năm Mới - Trao Xuân Trao Hoa" (New Year - Sending Love)
Just like how we grow a tree,I hope that everyone will always have a lot of energy to start your new journey with small steps and big achievements.
Spread mats on Tet days
“On the Southwest mat, Spring is coming
Red envelopes, my beloved,
Surrounding a table with stories,
Family gathering, Spring has come.”
The lines of poetry carrying the cultural melody of Vietnam that I promptly wrote about the inspiration for the "straw mats" on Tet holiday. The straw mats here are spread out for everyone to sit and eat family meals together, gathering together to play familiar games with happy laughter. For that reason, the straw mats are always indispensable these days - the warmest and happiest thing during Tet is to be with your family. Love!
