Sequencing
After all of my shoots, i would sit down and individually pick of images i thought to be successful, slightly edit them and print them out. Then, i would look for common patterns/ similarities in images to pair them up to create purpose in the images themselves.
This process was very necessary in the creative process as it helped save time when it came to digitally making the book. This also let me stand back and look at all the images in unison. This 7 when i started to question whether i wanted to keep them black and white or to change them to colour.
Having researched an array of artists and having workshops given during college time, the process of which a photographer would take is this one. As really spending time with images allows you to fully visualize the vision and path you have for the book in time. This is the phase when you will shorten the load of images to include to make it less overwhelming.
On top of this, i was able to get an idea of what images work and what images don't for my book, allowing me in further shoots to have a conscious idea of what is worth taking pictures of; therefore saving more time.
