Role and responsibilities: Information Designer:
Contract as external consultant on a 6 month project as information designer; provided communication support throughout the FedEx Innovation process through design, sketching, storyboards, video, 3D environments and PowerPoint presentations. Participant in the development of concepts and ideas around complex service design problems.
With regards to Mobile Applications, I participated in the advanced concept design of a "DIY Selling App". From a brainstorm, I sketched a user journey concept which I later developed and cleaned for delivery.
The user journey begins with a 3D measurement app in the mobile:
1. Access the app (you have uploaded your info and location)
2. Measure the item using a 3D measuring app in the mobile (uploads the measures)
3. Introduce item characteristics (upload use, material, weight, etc)
4. App will determine packaging needs and estimate (buy now option)
5. Hit "Compare it for me"
6. Market analysis done on similar items on other online marketplaces
7. Seller is advised on approximate item price and best marketplace site to post
8. Hit "Do it for Me" will post the item in the selected site
