We were given a self-promotional brief in 2012, this entailed us to highlight some of our passions and characteristics as creative’s. I am passionate about skateboarding, designing, working hard and having a good time. These characteristics I show through redesigning and hand illustrating a skateboard to be multifunctional and more aesthetically pleasing than the norm. The artwork on the skateboard is inspired by hard labor and South African cultures; at the bottom of the board I attached a sketchbook and two pens which fit into the artwork, the back of the board has two bottle openers mounted as a kick tail.
This board enables one the freedom of skateboarding without having to carry anything but also houses pens and paper for quick ideas and sketches.
