Popcut: Packaging Cutting and Scoring Device

Packaging plays such big influencing consumer purchase decisions. Majority of purchase decisions are made in-store as consumers scan different product packaging on store shelves. This makes it harder for smaller businesses to compete because packaging at the quality displayed in supermarkets does not come cheap. Ordering custom industry grade boxes require minimum order quantities usually reaching 5,000 to 10,000 pieces per design. That’s a bulk inventory investment most small businesses cannot afford.
Popcut addresses this gap. With Popcut, they can own and control their own packaging inventory. As a combined system, it aims to bring the whole process of packaging production (from design to assembly) directly to individual micro enterprises. First, businesses can design their own packaging labels with the help of die line template files provided by Popcut. Next, these labels can be printed in any home or office printer. Lastly, they use the Popcut device to cut and score these printouts accurately and consistently. Because small business have many products that come in different sizes, the Popcut device allows for changeable die boards that each create a different box dimension or pattern.
Popcut is designed to create consistent box quality over and over again. Popcut’s goal is to empower new business owners by providing an accessible alternative to packaging acquisition so that their products can compete against industry giants.
