Opening Titles for A Design Film Festival 2014 directed by Sebastian Lange and with music from Carl Borg.
2014 marks our 4th Singapore edition of A Design Film Festival.

The Festival is a studio project of Anonymous, conceived to spread the knowledge of design through the film medium to designers and non-designers.

This year’s Festival serves up many firsts — a festival theme, a custom-made proprietary online ticketing system, curated shorts, an opening film with the director in attendance, festival merchandise and a partnership with Singapore Airlines.

The Festival theme — “On a Scale of Art to Design” muses on the contemporary conundrum: 'Is it Art or Design?' We ask if 'scale' can be seen less as a measure, more a frame of reference that recognizes and honours the entire spectrum of creative work — its main discourses and subcultures, its stances and nuances, all its range and depth.

The branding graphics for the Festival is designed with geometric shapes and lines that scale in size, to depict black and white as opposite ends of the Art / Design spectrum.
Festival 4-Sheet Flyer

The popular Festival 4-sheet flyer is printed on 80gsm Recypal from RJ Paper and contains the festival schedule, synopses from the official selections and to make the life of attendees simpler, a handy map with some of the best ways to can get to DFFSG2014 this year — either by car, train, bus or foot. We’ve made 10,000 copies, available at selected stores, cafes and boutiques island-wide.
Festival Tote Bag

5 years in and we've finally produced some festival merchandise. The tote bags feature the festival branding silkscreened on black Japanese cotton canvas in a limited quantity of 250 pcs. They are given away with any purchase from “The Art of Design” t-shirt collection. Additional totes can be purchased at the festival for $25.
Festival Guide

We’ve completely redesigned the festival guide in a brand new size and format, featuring extended synopses, exclusive interviews with 3 of the film-makers, never before seen photos from all the films featured in this year's festival, and specially commissioned essays on the festival theme of "On a Scale of Art to Design" written by Justin Zhuang, Adrian Shaunessy and more.

The festival guide is complimentary for all festival attendees.
