We've all heard stories that portray the Monster Nian in a negative light, narrated from the villagers' perspective. This makes me wonder what the story would be like if told from Nian's point of view.
In most tales, there's a clear distinction between a villain and a hero. What if Nian isn't the terrifying monster the villagers have depicted, but rather the victim of the story, affected by the harmful actions of humans?
