ibi group // how illustrations can be used to increase readability
Illustration, infographic project: IBI Group is a global firm that offers architecture, planning,
engineering and technology. IBI’s proposals are geared towards engineers and are packed with
highly technical writing and lots of it, often making them difficult to read.
The main goal is to increase readability. To do this, I pair high resolution project images with
text, illustrate covers and create infographics that speak to the content. While working within
the brand, each proposal is fully tailored to the potential client. I direct all creative components
of each proposal including CD development and bound printed copies as well as manage copy
and editorial checks.
The result was two fold. Proposals that stood out against their competitors and proposals that
were picked up off the table, read and most importantly remembered. Which in a high stakes
competitive arena matters. A lot.
