Chasing Nostalgia & Dreams

This was a first experiment with E100 Ektachrome Color Reversal Film and my Minolta SRT 101. I decided to shake things up with a cross-processing twist, using C41 chemicals instead of E6 chemicals for developing the film. Ektachrome film is a positive used for dia film slides where you have the coloured images directly on the film roll, where normal 35mm film is a negative.  By developing the dia film with the 'wrong' C41 chemicals, you create a negative instead. Almost as if you are bleaching the film. The goal? Infuse a unique color blend into the shots, aiming for a dreamy, ethereal vibe that sparks the imagination. Think of it as capturing a glimpse of something dreamlike through the lens—a visual journey into the surreal.
