Rede Globo, the largest Brazilian TV channel (and fifth worldwide), commissioned Nearly Normal to produce
this 30 second animations to launch their new online campaign. Abducted (Abduzidos) was made entirely in paper-craft and shot in stop-motion. We built real sets and puppets from scratch for this fun little story depicting people “abducted” by the new content of the Globo website.

Drawing from the creative expertise developed through independent projects such as The Wolf and Dois, this was the opportunity to refine our skills and make the techniques work for the client. This was an ambitious project, which involved building 3complex paper sets and numerous paper puppets.
The illustrator and paper artists designed scenes with great complexity to create films that are rich and full of life. This fun little story Abduzidos, has real tridimensional depth and movement, and feels very urban.
