This project was born out of sketches and images captured while exploring the beaches and forests of western Washington during the past winter months. I wanted to capture the stillness and beauty in these landscapes during months of little light and cloudy skies. 

I hope to develop this project further by integrating typography and creating postcards and posters. 

I created my original sketches from life using colored pencil and watercolor pens. I then took the sketches into procreated and painted over the top of them digitally, refining the colors and shapes.
