Click-through-ratio (how many people click on the video) is VERY important for video distribution. Thumbnails is a key component for improving your CTR and increasing exposure.

I am happy to say I have a mastery of the platform and understand how to read the analytics. Soon YouTube will be allowing creators to upload multiple thumbnails at once and the system will choose the one that performs the best. Can't wait!
