The Humanitarian - MSF South Asia

"The Humanitarian", a series which shares the inspiring stories of people who work for MSF.

'The Humanitarian' under 'Humanity Heals' was made to narrate stories and experiences from the individuals who work in different sectors in MSF... on the field, with the patients and also giving a great insight of their personal life and personality.

One is about the journey of Dr Prince, a true humanitarian working with Médecins Sans Frontières(MSF)/Doctors Without Borders. Working as an international mobile staff with MSF, Dr Prince has been to various parts of the world, offering care. This video takes you on an unforgettable exploration of what it truly means to be a dedicated humanitarian.

The other is about Namrata Yadav, a Community Health Worker in the DR-TB project in Mumbai, India. Namrata's compassion is deeply rooted in her own journey as a TB patient. After she recovered, she became a humanitarian worker and educates and helps people in dire need for support for TB.
These videos carry a distinct significance, thanks to its intricate storytelling. A 2 hour interview was shot and the footage from various missions were shaped according to its narrative. We added Generative AI illustrations using 'Midjourney,' alongside meticulous sound design, precise color correction, and diverse shots of many to amplify the video's storytelling.

Our goal was to offer audiences a glimpse into reality of how challenging a life of a humanitarian worker can be. But a also providing a ray of hope during such dynamic environments and spreading positivity through the lens of humanity.
An interesting bit of the project was to work on illustrations through AI and of course correcting them manually to get the appropriate result and finishing. Some took a lot of time and experimentation, but it was a fun process.
We also made some short vertical videos from the story to support it even further.
