The glowing square conveys both the ideas of entrance and exit. As subjects are conscious of being watched during photoshoots, I believe they lead spectators to how they want to be viewed. The glowing square is a door toward their self-consciousness. It can be an invitation or an expulsion, depending on the connection between the subject and the spectator.
