The Sun and the Moon are two recurring characters on traditional stories from the amazon people. This illustration was inspired by one such tale, in which these celestial bodies fall in love with one another. As they embrace, the Night and the Day cannot happen anymore, so in order for humanity to survive, they decide to stay apart, only meeting during dusk and dawn. I wanted to picture one of these moments, as they both meet and dance across the sky, finally together.
