CorePoint / I. / Integrate a mascot into branding

...

This project is about what it takes to integrate a mascot into the branding

Allow me to walk you through my workflow and the finished product of this incredible project that I had the pleasure of working on. First of all, let me tell you what a mascot can accomplish for a website, and then we'll take it step by step.

The corgi mascot enhances the visual appeal of the website and contributes to a positive brand perception. Users are welcomed by a friendly face, which creates an immediate connection and fosters a sense of approachability, often associated with a dog's playful nature. The mascot is also used as a dynamic tool for storytelling, to give a feeling of warmth, relatability, and to add a touch of “whimsy” to the brand's identity.

...

Meet Tim,
CEO of a small IT company.

The company has a very young spirit and he wants to express that.

Tim has a corgi named Bear and wants it to be the mascot of his company

Let’s meet Bear and transform it into a mascot.

...

First of all, let’s turn Bear into an illustration

The flat outline style illustration can provide a versatile canvas for customization and that’s exactly what we are looking for.

Secondly, let’s add some joyful graphic elements

Poppins type and vibrant warm colors are key for imposing a good feeling in the users’ hearts. Plus a little bit of cuteness to top it up.

Custom corner radius

Forget the common corner radius, this custom corner radius is better suited for this project.

...

Put the corgi in various situations

Let’s go beyond using a static mascot and introduce thematic variations for each page. This approach not only can showcase the agency's adaptability but can also provide users with a delightful surprise at every turn.

...

Let’s see the corgi in action

The corgi's actions on the “Contact” page, for instance, with an origami figure, convey a sense of playfulness while aligning with the communication theme. On the “About us” page it can present the statistics and the teams. On the Landing page he can suggest that we are using dark magic to finish projects faster than other competitors.

...

A different way of presenting the team

It’s hard to get pictures from all the employees and you don’t want to leave anyone behind.

The traditional team members photos were replaced with corgi avatars, each holding a significant item to them.

How?

Let’s take Steven for example

He likes playing football. So instead of showing a picture of Steven siting with the back against the wall, let’s try something else.

Here’s Steven as a corgi playing football

This turns the mascot into a symbol of the agency's team culture, representing individual interests and roles in a creative and personalized manner.
