This classic story, with poetic descriptions, yet playful imagination of the secret life of one cedar tree called for both natural textures that emotively sway, but also a spark of whimsical playfulness of the cheeky and slightly self-absorbed nature of the main character. Turning away from the typical colouring of wood, yet keeping some elements of nature more true to life has been a fun excercise and intends to keep the viewer between the imagined fairy tale, yet crossing over into a historical event described later in the book.
