Children's book illustrations

I have illustrated a children's non-commercial book as an original gift from a father to his child, who has Czech-Israeli origins. The songs in this book are very popular in Israel ("The Sixteenth Sheep" is a children's book of poems by Yonatan Gefen that was published in 1978).
The father who ordered the book specifically chose several of them and translated them into the Czech language so that the bilingual child could playfully learn or not forget Hebrew.
This order was unexpected and pleasant for me. I merged all the unrelated songs to create a sort of narrative story about the life of a little boy. It was important for me that the young reader, to whom this book is dedicated, could see himself in the character in my illustrations.
These songs are well-known to Israelis since childhood, and more than one generation has grown up with them. It was enjoyable for me to touch upon this heritage while illustrating this book.
I believe that such a gift will be remembered and will stay in childhood memories for a long time.
