For my final project in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, I explored the world of arthropods, capturing images using a macro lens on my phone. In Adobe InDesign, I compiled these images alongside informative text, creating a bilingual booklet featuring translations in both Hebrew and English. The design includes mockups of Polaroid-style pictures edited in Photoshop and custom icons created in Illustrator, enhancing the visual appeal of each page.

The mockup above showcases the external and internal sections of the booklet, emphasizing the intentional connection between the cover and inner pages. Yellow crab spiders on yellow backgrounds serve as a thematic link, seamlessly guiding the viewer from the exterior to the heart of the book.

The index page foregoes traditional page numbers in favor of icons representing the main insect featured on each spread. This unique approach allows for intuitive navigation and encourages interactive engagement with the content.

The illustrations begin by tracing the original photographs, which are then converted into icon-like representations. Through Adobe Illustrator, I focused on encapsulating the essence of each insect into a minimalist yet impactful design.

This project has been a remarkable journey of discovery and growth, offering me valuable insights and skills in graphic design. It has provided me with the opportunity to share my passion for arthropods in a vibrant and engaging manner. What makes this endeavor even more fulfilling is the ability to share it with those close to me, irrespective of whether they speak Hebrew or English. It's been a privilege to blend creativity with learning, and I look forward to continuing this colorful journey with newfound enthusiasm.
